If you’re a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, then you’re all too aware of the infamous car wreck that Jason Pierre-Paul was involved in about a month ago.
The after effects sent a shockwave through the Bucs community when it was announced shortly after that JPP could possibly miss the entire season as a result of the wreck.
Since then, the timetable has become unclear, but thanks to JPP one thing is clear - he is doing just fine right now.
He released a picture for the first time since the wreck and while he is in a neck brace, at least he’s smiling.
The picture, put out on Instagram, features Pierre-Paul lounging in the brace alongside what appears to be a friend or family member (h/t Greg Auman of The Athletic).

At least he is in good spirits during his recovery and that’s the most important part of this journey - his recovery.
The official plan is for the Pierre-Paul and the Bucs to revisit his neck around the four-month mark. That would put the timeline for a full recovery around 5-6 months. Three independent surgeons have stated they believe the neck can heal on its own without surgery, which means JPP will likely be back on the field around November.
