FanPulse: Bucs fans aren’t high on the team so far this offseason

The 2019 edition of SB Nation’s FanPulse is up and running.

It’s been a relatively quiet offseason for the Buccaneers to this point. Aside from the splash hire of head coach Bruce Arians to kick off the 2019 calendar year, everything else has been pretty quiet for the most part.

Tampa Bay lost players in Kwon Alexander, DeSean Jackson, and Adam Humphries to free agency and filled holes with serviceable guys like Shaquil Barrett and Breshad Perriman among some others. But without a huge splash due to a lack of spending money, the fan base seems to feel “meh” at best so far.

In the latest SB Nation FanPulse results, 53-percent of the Buccaneers fans feel the team got better in free agency while 47-percent feel they did not. It’s pretty split, understandably so.

However, when it comes to the division, there isn’t much support there. As you can see in the graphic below, the Bucs sit at the bottom of the NFC South for the favorites in the division.

Those Saints numbers. Ugh...

You’d have to hope that Arians will be able to turn things around quickly. If not, well, we’ll see more of the same results throughout the season. And you can’t blame the fans for feeling the way they do.

No pressure, coach.
