When Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans saw the 2019 schedule, they knew it wasn’t ideal. Scratch that. They knew it sucked.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will not play a home game in front of their own fans from September 22nd until November 10th and during that stretch, they will have to fly across country (west coast) twice and once across the pond to London, England.
In summary, the Buccaneers will play five consecutive road games, with a bye week after the London matchup in week 6.
Not only did the NFL decide to make the home game that was slated to be in London, in between two consecutive road trips, but they also decided to make the home game a divisional matchup, something that we very rarely see in International games.
What fans didn’t expect was for this scheduling error to make national headlines and receive so much backlash from multiple outlets. People have been all over the NFL for the Buccaneers schedule and they have every right to be.
Below is a clip for CBS Sports Radio on how the Buccaneers got screwed.

Obviously, nothing can be done now, but I just hope the NFL remembers this next year when putting together the schedule. Every single thing should go in the Buccaneers favor.
