NFL Scouting Combine Open Thread

Open thread for thoughts, takeaways, and impressions from the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine

NFL: Combine Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Things have been wild in Indianapolis, as they always are. Coaches and GMs are buzzing around, evaluating the new crop of NFL superstars, contributors, and busts. There have already been plenty of juicy nuggets dropped since Wednesday with everything from Jason Licht not committing to Gerald McCoy, DeSean Jackson refusing to take a pay cut, and Bruce Arians wanting to revitalize the young talent that has struggled in recent seasons.

The hot talk surrounding the prospects has been the dominance of LSU linebacker Devin White, Ole Miss wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, and the always awkward Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray.

As far as the Bucs are concerned, they’ve had plenty of formal interviews with players and informal interviews with virtually everyone else. The big buzz now is on the defensive side of the ball with Devin White and the possible falling of Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, Kentucky defensive end Josh Allen, or Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver.

Rumors are rampant that Kyler Murray will go number one to Arizona, D.K. Metcalf won’t slip past number four, and then teams that panic and trade up to ensure they get a quarterback every season.

Here is an open thread for everyone to post their thoughts, comments, and takeaways from the combine as we go full steam ahead into draft season.
