So, about that report where Gerald McCoy was for sure returning to the Bucs...
At the NFL Owners Meetings Tuesday, head coach Bruce Arians was asked about the future of Gerald McCoy in Tampa Bay. Arians said he needs to still evaluate McCoy and didn’t say for certain that the veteran defensive tackle would be returning.
Bruce Arians was asked about Gerald McCoy returning in 2019. "Um...probably a better question for Jason [Licht]." He cited financials and age. "I've gotta evaluate him." He said "he's not as disruptive as he was four years ago but he's still a good player."

There is still a possibility that the Bucs cut McCoy. He could also potentially be a part of some draft trade scenario. Regardless, Tampa Bay would free up $13-million by parting ways with the 2010 third overall pick.
