Well, the legal tampering period has brought us some shocking developments from around the league this week. All the reports of teams agreeing to terms with players since Monday becomes official Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET. Although some may not be officially announced right away.
Where are the Buccaneers in all this? Well they’ve been somewhat quiet for the most part. DeSean Jackson, Adam Humphries, Bryan Anger, and Kwon Alexander are all gone and there has not been many moves from Tampa Bay thus far. But, there have been some minor signings so they are beginning to take on a different look in 2019.
Here's the latest leading into Wednesday’s start of free agency:
Here's some news: Earl Watford is heading to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Good fit there, with all those former Cardinals coaches.

New name to watch as Bucs seek to add to safety depth: Brice is still only 24, started 10 games for Packers, had 50 tackles last year. Non-tendered as restricted free agent by Green Bay. https://t.co/mJyTVOiamJ

Keep an eye on the Bucs.
Also worth noting here that Beau Allen is now a free agent after this season, as Bucs scrapped his third (unguaranteed) year as part of his restructure. Took a $1m pay cut but can get that back in incentives ... https://t.co/3edwnLTIxA
— Greg Auman (@gregauman) March 14, 2019
#Bucs DT Beau Allen took a $1 million pay cut, in exchange for new guarantees that solidify his spot on the roster. He's now due $4M in 2019.

Eagles officially acquired WR DeSean Jackson and a 2020 7th round draft choice from Tampa Bay in exchange for a 2019 6th round draft choice.

Source tells me it's a one-year deal for Peyton Barber (not a tender) with a $1 million signing bonus and a $1.125 base salary. ($2.125 million). No incentives but more money than he would have made on the tender ($2.02 million).
— JennaLaineESPN (@JennaLaineESPN) March 13, 2019
Bucs announcing agreed to terms with those FA additions widely reported, including Deone Bucannon, who was used well in Arizona's defense by Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles. https://t.co/viNYT9uogl

Full Breakdown:https://t.co/S3dQhqEeol
Bucs brought DT Mitch Unrein in for a physical. Missed all of last season with concussion, still hasn’t been cleared. Team could keep him, but may be cutting him, which could mean an injury settlement. Due a $1 million bonus if he’s still on roster Sunday.
— Greg Auman (@gregauman) March 13, 2019
Another name to watch in free agency: Bucs have reached out to guard Ted Larsen, who played for Arians in Arizona in 2014-15. He's 31, local (Palm Harbor) and played his first four NFL seasons with Bucs from 2010-13. An experienced option as they look for answers at right guard.
— Greg Auman (@gregauman) March 13, 2019
Bucs have agreed to terms with PK Cairo Santos.
— Rick Stroud (@NFLSTROUD) March 13, 2019
After trade for Odell Beckham Jr., Browns’ GM John Dorsey and agent Drew Rosenhaus mutually agreed to not to follow through on verbal agreement with WR Breshad Perriman, per @mortreport and me. Perriman now will sign a one-year, $4 million deal with Tampa Bay, per source.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 13, 2019
One more Bucs free agent coming back for 2019: LB Kevin Minter, who played for Bruce Arians in Arizona, is re-signing with Tampa Bay. He's 28, had a combined 175 tackles in 2015-16 with Cardinals, joined Bucs last season.

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 12, 2019

Really strong deal for new #Titans WR Adam Humphries:
— Adam Caplan (@caplannfl) March 12, 2019
Per league source: 4 years, $36m, $19m in guarantees ($12m fully gtd at signing--$10m of which in SB, $7m gtd for injury, which becomes fully guaranteed 5th day of free agency 2020.)
First 2 years comp: $20m.
Markus Golden is picking up steam on the market. Keep an eye on the #Giants and #Buccaneers for him.
— Matt Verderame (@MattVerderame) March 12, 2019
By comparison, DeSean Jackson’s original deal in Tampa (signed two years ago) was for three years and $33.5 million with $20 million guaranteed. This deal has $13 million guaranteed. https://t.co/HBF2xUDB6G
— JennaLaineESPN (@JennaLaineESPN) March 11, 2019
The #Titans are signing former #Bucs WR Adam Humphries, per @MikeGarafolo and me. Another top slot threat off the market. One of the NFL’s most efficient on third down.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) March 11, 2019
NEWS: Source said #Eagles and #Buccaneers have agreed on a trade on DeSean Jackson.
— Adam Caplan (@caplannfl) March 11, 2019

— Rick Stroud (@NFLSTROUD) March 11, 2019
Tampa it was a great experience, but things didn’t work out !! Looking forward to my next destination .. Stay Tuned #0ne0fone https://t.co/dNsVXC3RMZ
— Desean Jackson (@DeSeanJackson11) March 11, 2019
The Jets are investigating the ILB market -- Kwon Alexander and CJ Mosley. They won't cut Avery Williamson, whose $6M salary is guaranteed. If they land one, it doesn't bode well for Darron Lee, whose season ended with a suspension. #Jets
— Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) March 11, 2019
Buccaneers LB Kwon Alexander is testing the free agent market but I’m told the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trying to figure out a way to keep him per source. Told “we don’t want to lose him”
— Dianna Russini (@diannaESPN) March 11, 2019
Bucs are not tendering cornerback De’Vante Harris, a restricted free agent, so he will be unrestricted now. Bucs may try to bring back for depth on lesser contract. He’s 25, had 10 tackles last season.
— Greg Auman (@gregauman) March 11, 2019
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not finding any takers in a trade for DeSean Jackson. I’m told for now... the plan is to keep him on the roster. Key words “for now”
— Dianna Russini (@diannaESPN) March 11, 2019
Who told ya that?
— Kwon Alexander (@kwon) March 11, 2019
#Buccaneers LB Kwon Alexander texted a group of his Tampa teammates a short while ago telling them he's going to miss them, source says. We'll see where he winds up but he's obviously not expecting it to be Tampa. Deal expected to be in the $12m/$13m per year range.
— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) March 11, 2019
#Bucs are bracing to lose WR Adam Humphries and/or LB Kwon Alexander to free agency. Humphries could get $9-million to $10-million APY with Jets as a big suitor. Alexander is being pursued by the Jets and 49ers and seeking an elite deal between $10-million $12-million APY.
— Rick Stroud (@NFLSTROUD) March 11, 2019
I'm told #Bucs WR Desean Jackson had a direct convo w/t front office over t/weekend abt his status & trade considerations. Those discussions included convos on the interests of both sides. There's some mutual understanding. I previously reported Jackson wants to move on from TAM.
— ig: josinaanderson (@JosinaAnderson) March 11, 2019
I’m told the asking price for Kwon Alexander is $11-$12 million right now.
— JennaLaineESPN (@JennaLaineESPN) March 11, 2019
Of the four big Bucs question marks this week — McCoy, Jackson, Alexander and Humphries — I’ll be surprised if more than one is playing in Tampa this fall. And very possibly none of the four ...
