Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians had what he called a successfull sit down conversation with wide receiver DeSean Jackson to try and convince him that Tampa Bay is still the right spot for him. Arians had previously expressed interest in keeping the deep threat who has been unhappy with his production and role the last two sesasons.
“We had a long sit down and from my perspective it couldn’t have been any better. You’d have to talk to DeSean to find out what he perspective is but I thought it was great. Look forward to working with him. I have a ton of respect for him as a player and as a person.”
If the talk went as well for DeSesan as it did for Arians, then it looks like the receiver will finish out his contract and stick in Tampa Bay. Arians loves speed in his offense and you won’t find any more of it than with Jackson.
Time will tell, but signs are pointing to Jackson sticking around for 2019.
