By now, everyone in the NFL world knows about the drama unfolding around the Pittsburgh Steelers and some of their most notable players.
One such player is wide receiver Antonio Brown.
Brown has been linked recently to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in potential trade rumors as a replacement for their own disgruntled wide receiver, DeSean Jackson.
Speaking at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday, Bucs general manager very matter of factly answered the question about whether or not he has been involved in trade talks with the Pittsburgh Steelers, saying,
“We have not had any discussions about trading for Antonio Brown.”
Considering the Steelers owe Brown a sizeable roster bonus in early March if he remains on the team, the expectation is mounting they will try to execute a potential trade as early as this week while at the combine.
If the Bucs haven’t been part of any discussions at this point, it’s unlikely they will. However, as with everything in the league, one day is all they need to dramatically change any situation involving just about any player.
