The Buccaneers are again without cornerback Carlton Davis, who missed practice with a hip injury. This comes on the heels of the release of Vernon Hargreaves, who was claimed off waivers by the Houston Texans - the only team to put a claim in for him.
If Davis is unable to go, the Bucs will rely on rookies Jamel Dean and Sean Murphy-Bunting to shut down the Saints’ arial attack. Michael Thomas had eleven receptions for 182 yards and two touchdowns in their first meeting this season.
Also missing practice for the Bucs was tackle Demar Dotson - but it was not injury related and he should be fine for Sunday - as well as corner M.J. Stewart (knee) and outside linebacker Anthony Nelson (hamstring).
Returning to practice was outside linebacker Carl Nassib, who missed last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
For the Saints, they were without starting guard Andrus Peat and cornerback Marshon Lattimore. Missing Lattimore would certainly help the Bucs as he was a big reason Mike Evans went without a reception in their first meeting.
