It’s disappointing news for the young player.

The Bucs have placed linebacker Jack Cichy on injured reserve a month after injuring his elbow against the Los Angeles Rams, per Greg Auman of the Athletic.

A setback in his rehab will prevent him from returning in 2019. It’s disappointing news for Cichy, who worked his way back on to the field after tearing his ACL against the Browns in 2018.

There is good news, though. He is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the start of the 2020 season.

Cichy was primarily a special teams player, playing over 50% of snaps through the first four games. He finished 2019 with one assisted tackle.
