Back in May, Jason Pierre-Paul fractured his neck after losing control of his car and hitting a median on the highway.
Many wondered if his 2019 season - or even his NFL career - was over at the time. But NFL players aren’t human. Just about six months after the wreck, JPP will play against the Titans on Sunday.
Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times broke the news on Saturday morning.
#GoBucs will activate OLB Jason Pierre-Paul today from the non-football injury list. He will play vs. Titans.

How effective he will be remains to be seen, but JPP’s leadership should help corral the defense into better play to an extent.
Maybe he can return to full form quickly and help boost a Bucs pass rush that currently sits at 24th in the NFL in terms of sack rate (5.7%), according to Football Outsiders.
Regardless, it will be nice to see him back on the field and hopefully, he can stay healthy for the rest of the year.
