Following his 385-yard four touchdown passing performance against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has been named as a finalist for the FedEx Air Player of the Week award.

Coming off of his performance in Los Angeles which helped lead his team to a 55-40 win and even the team’s record at 2-2, Winston is looking for his first FedEx Air Player of the Week award this week.

Joining him as finalists in the air category are Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers and Baker Mayfield of the Cleveland Browns.

Winston completed more passes than each of his competitors while also throwing for more yards and more touchdowns. In fact, both Rivers and Mayfield combined for three passing touchdowns falling one shy of Winston’s total alone.

Only Rivers put up a zero in the turnover department however, as both Winston and Mayfield threw one interception each.

If he wins, this would be Winston’s third FedEx Air Player of the Week award. Ryan Fitzpatrick won the award for his Week 1 performance against the New Orleans Saints in Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season.

For those interested, the FedEx Ground Player of the Week nominees for Week 4 are Leonard Fournette (Jacksonville Jaguars), Frank Gore (Buffalo Bills) and Nick Chubb (Cleveland Browns).

To vote, fans just need to go to the FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week page and select their favorite player. Voting is open, and closes on Thursday at 3PM EST.

Update: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated winning this week would be the first of his career. Winston previously won the FedEx Air Player of the Week award in Week 11 of 2015 and again in Week 1 of 2016.
