Todd Bowles set to become Buccaneers defensive coordinator

Arians is getting the band back together.

NFL: Houston Texans at New York Jets Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Bruce Arians is getting the crew back together in Tampa Bay. Arians will be bringing along Todd Bowles as his defensive coordinator. Bowles, was recently fired as the head coach of the New York Jets, but he is a respected coordinator around the league and was a top target of Arians over the last week or so.

Bowles is known to play to his players strengths, and him and Arians worked well together in the desert when they were both there for the 2013-2014 seasons.

Bowles defenses finished 6th overall in 2013 (20.2 PPG against 6th ranked) and 9th overall in 2014 (18.7 PPG 5th ranked).

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be working their way back to relevance again, folks.
