As a result, the Buccaneers had to make a corresponding roster move so they weren’t left with only four corners on the active roster. The Bucs announced that former Saints cornerback De’Vante Harris was placed on injured reserve and cornerback Javien Elliott was promoted from the practice squad.
Elliott has played in twenty-one games for the Bucs since 2016 amassing fifteen tackles and one pass defensed. Elliott has been an effective nickel corner in the past and it would appear that’s where he would line up Sunday with Vernon Hargreaves III and Carlton Davis lining up on the outside.
