Bucs vs Eagles - Week 2 Initial Injury Report

The initial injury report for week two is out - and things aren’t pretty for the Buccaneers

NFL: Detroit Lions at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports

The Buccaneers have released their initial injury report for week two against the Philadelphia Eagles and things aren’t looking too pretty from the Bucs’ side of things;

With Vernon Hargreaves III placed on injured reserve and questions still surrounding Brent Grimes’ availability, the Bucs’ secondary is a huge question mark. Then Jason Pierre-Paul was sporting a knee brace today and said he was unsure of his own status. The defense may be in big trouble Sunday.

Add to that DeSean Jackson still being in the concussion protocol and having his status in doubt, the offense could potentially lose a mega weapon. DJax was a key element in the win over New Orleans and losing him against his former team - who he has tortured since his departure - would be a crushing blow.

The Bucs better hope some of these guys who didn’t participate in practice Wednesday can get themselves ready for the game on Sunday. Otherwise, the Bucs will be missing some key players at positions of need in a big time match-up against the defending champs.
