With the pre-season coming to an end, many starters and veterans will be hanging out while the ladder half of the roster fights for spots.

Before getting into injuries it’s important to note that rookies Jordan Whitehead, Alex Cappa and Justin Watson are all suited and ready to play. All three are looking to solidify their roster spots with Alex Cappa having a great shot to further prove himself worthy as a 6th lineman with spot duty potential this year. Ronald Jones is also suited and ready to play in what should be a limited fashion early in this game. Returning from injury having missed the first three pre-season games is Leonard Webster. Vita Vea will be missing this game as well as he continues to recover from a leg injury.

According to Scott Smith, it looks like fans can expect the team to roll with four healthy linebackers in tonight's game.

Of note, Noah Spence is suited up for this fourth pre-season game. Coming off back to back injury riddled seasons it appears Spence will have to play well to earn his spot in year three. Spence has shown flashes of true pass rushing prowess each of the last two seasons but has yet to remain healthy and put together a string of games worth remembering to this point. A good game tonight and a quick start to the season are much needed for Spence and his teammates up front.

Fans should expect to see most starters chilling on the sidelines in this one as the rest of the team fights for spots. Gerald McCoy and company along the defensive side of the ball will all be sitting this one out. Justin Evans included who practiced this week after dealing with an injury. The offensive side of the ball will be resting starters as well including Jameis Winston who won’t be seen again until after week three. Ryan Griffin will take the helm and steer the ship with Austin Allen expected to see his first action at some point as well.
