Former Buccaneers head coach and Hall of Famer Tony Dungy will be inducted into Tampa Bay’s Ring of Honor during their Week 3 Monday Night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Tuesday, he was being introduced as the inductee during a press conference at One Buc Place.
Afterwards, Dungy took time to talk to the media. Among several topics — which included answering a question about quarterback Jameis Winston — he also discussed the National Anthem protests going on through the NFL.
Dungy was very insightful with his opinion on how to handle the situation. He gets why the players are doing what they are doing. He even made a suggestion that if he was a coach, he would give the players 10 minutes of his press conferences each week so their voices can be heard.
Check out the video below via Pewter Report. There are much more strong thoughts from Dungy that is a must listen.
