Vea’s injury “doesn’t look bad”

The rookie went down during their first contact drills.

The team went into 11-on-11 drills right away during Sunday’s training camp session. And right away suffered an injury to a key player.

Buccaneers rookie defensive tackle Vita Vea suffered a strained calf during his first play of the drill and immediately limped off of the field. He would eventually be carted off.

However, good new is that the injury does not appear to be serious. This according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Tampa Bay’s first round pick from this past draft has had a quiet camp so far. Hopefully this injury will not set him back in his development during his first NFL camp.
