Guys, Buccaneers defensive line coach Brentson Buckner isn’t playing around.
During Thursday’s OTA practice, there was a time where defensive tackle Gerald McCoy jumped offsides on quarterback Jameis Winston’s hard count. It was some time after where Buckner ripped into McCoy for the mistake.
All of it can be seen in the video below, shot by Fox 13 cameraman Jeff Tewksbury. Buckner is seen letting the All-Pro defensive tackle have it for the error he made. You can even make out a little bit of the audio, which sounds like he is telling McCoy that he just got done telling another player to not do the same thing and then he goes and does it. Another line — which is difficult to make out — sounds like Bucker tells McCoy that isn’t playing favorites or playing games. All of this while McCoy’s face is one we have never seen around Tampa Bay from him.
Anyhow, check out the video from Tewksbury. Some interesting sights and sounds from a side of practice we very rarely get to witness.
