We’re all still sitting here anxiously awaiting the results from the NFL’s investigation into the allegations of Buccaneers’ quarterback Jameis Winston groping a female Uber driver. Via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, the league says they are still looking into it.
The NFL’s investigation into an allegation that Winston groped a 26-year-old female Uber driver has entered its eighth month.
“This remains under review,’’ NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said of the Winston probe.
Stroud also recently stated in his podcast that he suspected — based off of what he has been able to gather — that the outcome of the investigation may result in a one game suspension and we should hear about it come the beginning of July. Many feel even a one-game suspension is unnecessary. But it’s not far-fetched.
It’s unfortunate, because the league will most likely do whatever it wants to do. But reality is they can. It’s just a mind boggling that they have taken this long, almost as if they really want to find something — anything — to pin on the guy.
