Despite his age, Brent Grimes can still play at a high level, everyone around Tampa Bay can tell you that. Your casual NFL fan, however, may think differently.
Grimes has been one of the league’s better cornerbacks over the past three years and Pro Football Focus agrees.

Grimes is just a few tenths of a point behind Marcus Peters, whom many consider the top corner in the league. While this ranking is strictly in terms of playmaking ability, it’s still all the more impressive considering Grimes will turn 35 this year.
The Shippensburg product signed a one-year deal earlier in March to come back and play for the Buccaneers after a three interception season in 2017. He will be expected to not only anchor the secondary, but help the Bucs’ new rookies learn how to succeed in the NFL.
It’s great to see Grimes get some recognition for his work and here’s to hoping he can add even more to his resume this season.
