Are people starting to believe in Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston? While the Tampa Bay fan base seems to still be split on supporting their quarterback, many outlets feel as though he will have a good 2018 season.

Joe Bucs Fan referenced an article from Bleacher Report projecting 2018 stats for all NFL quarterbacks — where Winston’s projected stats were also included. So that got me thinking about how others may feel about the Bucs’ young gunslinger.

Below are Winston’s projections from various outlets.

Bleacher Report
Projected Passing Stats: 577 attempts, 352 completions, 4,335 yards, 26 touchdowns, 14 interceptions

Fantasy Pros
Projected Passing Stats: 572 attempts, 354 completions, 4,213 yards, 24 touchdowns, 15 interceptions

ESPN
Projected Passing Stats: 578 attempts, 358 completions, 4,434 yards, 27 touchdowns, 14 interceptions

NFL
Projected Passing Stats: 4,126 yards, 28 touchdowns, 14 interceptions (Attempts and completions were not projected.)

It seems like many feel that Winston will eclipse 4,000 yards for a third season. That’s three of his first four seasons with 4,000-plus yards. To put that into perspective, that would be one more than Steve Young, it would tie Dan Fouts and Kurt Warner, and half way to reaching Dan Marino and Brett Favre.

Now if only the team can string together some wins.
