The 2018 NFL Draft is just a couple days away and it is a major topic on the minds of many Bucs fans. In this second edition for the Bucs Nation’s Mailbag, Write the Ship, we take in a couple questions regarding the NFL Draft and the Buccaneers.
Hypothetical:

The Big 3 are gone, Tampa Bay doesn't trade down, and Derwin James is the pick at #7. Sony Michel, Billy Price, and Isaiah Oliver are all there at #38. Who do you take and why?#WriteTheShip #NFLDraft
I like the idea of beefing up the interior line and while Billy Price may be considered at No. 38, I like Sony Michel there. Now granted, I’m basing that off of those three that you threw out there. If Derrius Guice (for some reason) really slides out of the first round like a few big mocks has stated this week, then I like Guice over Michel here. As for Isaiah Oliver, getting a corner like him after selecting Derwin James would strengthen the secondary tremendously. But with the need for a running back with immediate impact, Michel would be the pick for me out of those three.
If Bucs somehow get barkley; who are top 3 likely targets in 2nd round? #WriteTheShip

That’s tough without not knowing what other options are available as the first round ends. But since they addressed running back with Saquon Barkley in the first, I’d look for targets by position: secondary, offensive line, defensive line (in no particular order). With that said, some names can be UTEP guard Will Hernandez, Colorado cornerback Isaiah Oliver, and Michigan defensive tackle Maurice Hurst are potential top targets in the second round. Even names like Ohio State’s Billy Price or UCF’s Mike Hughes could be available at No. 38 and be heavily considered. But there may be a run on cornerbacks late in the first round which could make getting secondary help difficult at the top of the second round.
