Say what you will about Buccaneers’ quarterback Jameis Winston, but his level of leadership and work ethic is unlike any other quarterback Tampa Bay has had. No disrespect to the Mike Glennon’s of the world, of course.

Winston entered this offseason with promises that he will work much harder to be better and we’ve seen recently what that level of commitment has looked like. Now, we have his teammate detailing how Winston put the workouts together, specifically their workout at Texas A&M.

Appearing on the Ira Kaufman podcast by way of Joe Bucs Fan, Bucs tight end Cameron Brate provided details on how Winston coordinated their meetup.

The Bucs’ big-money tight end said he went into the trip commitment with low expectations but left drained and impressed. Brate explained that Jameis hand-crafted a full eight-hour, daily workout itinerary for all the attendees. The day started at 8 a.m. and Jameis was the lead — as everyone stayed in the big house Jameis rented for the crew.

That is a good sign, and something you want to see from your franchise quarterback.

Brate goes into details on how Winston has looked this offseason and reveals who joined them for this workout. Check out the audio below. It’s good stuff.
