The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has signed defensive tackle Beau Allen.

Allen (6-3, 327) joins Tampa Bay after spending his first four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles (2014-17), including winning Super Bowl LII. In his four-year career, Allen has played in 63 regular season games, with eight starts, registering 87 tackles, including 10 for loss, 2.0 sacks and a fumble recovery, which he returned 10 yards. He also played in all three postseason games in 2017, en route to Philadelphia’s Super Bowl LII championship.

In 2017, Allen was part of a defense that allowed the fewest rushing yards per game (79.2), the sixth-lowest yards per carry (3.76) and tied for the third-fewest rushing touchdowns (seven).

A native of Minnetonka, Minnesota, Allen originally entered the league as a seventh-round draft pick (224th overall) by Philadelphia in the 2014 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Wisconsin.
