Both teams are eliminated from playoff contention and have had disappointing seasons. Both will surely be happy when time runs out on Sunday and the look towards 2019.
It will be the second time the Buccaneers and Falcons meet this season. The last meeting between the two teams was week six and the Falcons pulled off a 34-29 win.
In that matchup, the Buccaneers were a botched pitch away from pulling off the upset on the road and improving to 3-2 on the season and 2-0 within the division. If they did win that game, it could have changed the whole season, but instead the Buccaneers spiraled out of control and currently sit at 5-10.
Another lost year in Tampa Bay and changes are likely coming to the whole coaching staff and possibly the general manager as well.
With that being said, the objective this week is to win, like always. Coaches and players don’t care about drafty position, especially when jobs are on the line, so don’t expect the Buccaneers to lay down this weekend. They will come out and try to win this football game and leave a positive taste in the glazer families mouth.
Since we already covered many of the stats between the two teams earlier in the season, we will compare the two quarterbacks and how they have fared against the opposition.

Jameis Winston vs the Falcons: In six career games against Atlanta, Jameis Winston has completed 68.16% of his passes for 1640 yards (273.3 YPG) with 16 touchdowns and four interceptions. He is 3-3 in his career against the dirty birds.
