The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that the team has signed wide receiver Bernard Reedy to the practice squad and released wide receiver Damoun Patterson from the practice squad.
Reedy (5-9, 175) spent time with Tampa Bay this past offseason and was on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad earlier this season. He played in nine games for Tampa Bay in 2017, before being waived and signing with the New England Patriots, where he played in two games and spent time on the team’s practice squad. He also spent time with New England this past offseason.
In 11 total games last season, Reedy caught two passes for 21 yards and rushed three times for 17 yards, while returning 18 punts for 175 yards and seven kickoffs for 145 yards. A St. Petersburg native, Reedy played collegiately at Toledo. He will wear No. 18 for Tampa Bay.
Reedy was one of the many receivers who took the time to work out with quarterback Jameis Winston during his suspension. However, it doesn’t mean that Winston will be named the starting quarterback once again.
