Open thread for Week 9: Buccaneers at Panthers

The Buccaneers dropped another game last week in Cincinnati and now sit at 3-4 on the season. Tampa Bay has benched quarterback Jameis Winston for this game for Ryan Fitzpatrick in hopes the ageless wonder gets them back on the winning track. But it won’t be easy in Week 9.

The Bucs face their division rivals Carolina Panthers. Quarterback Cam Newton and the Carolina offense have hit a groove in recent weeks so the Buccaneers defense will be challenged often throughout the game.

Carolina currently carries a Top 10 run defense so if the Bucs want to get anything going on offense, they’ll have to do it through the air. Fitzpatrick will have to play like he did in Weeks 1 and 2. Because if he is anything like Weeks 3 and 4, they’re in trouble.
