Buccaneers announce roster moves

The team releases DE Will Clarke.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the team has promoted defensive end Demone Harris from the practice squad to the active roster and released defensive end Will Clarke.

Harris (6-4, 272) entered the NFL as a college free agent this past offseason with Tampa Bay. He spent the offseason and preseason with the Buccaneers and has been on the team’s practice squad throughout the regular season. A native of Buffalo, New York, Harris played collegiately at Buffalo, appearing in 43 games, recording 107 tackles and 9.5 sacks. He wears No. 71 for Tampa Bay.

Clarke played in three games for the Buccaneers this season.

The team also announced that WR Damoun Patterson has been signed to the practice squad.

Patterson (6-2, 190) comes to Tampa Bay after having spent this past offseason and preseason with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He entered the NFL with Pittsburgh as a college free agent this past offseason and was waived prior to the start of the regular season. A native of Apopka, Florida, Patterson finished his collegiate career at Youngstown State (2016-17), after spending time at Highland Community College and Utah State. He will wear No. 15 for Tampa Bay.
