No Buccaneers named to 2017 All-Pro team

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have no representatives on the 2017 AP All-Pro team. Gerald McCoy will be the Bucs’ lone representative at the Pro Bowl, but apparently didn’t get a single vote on any All-Pro ballot.

In fact, the only Bucs player to get any All-Pro votes at all was linebacker Lavonte David, who managed to get onto the ballots of two of the 50 media members voting for this award. His presence is well-deserved: with five forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries he made a massive impact. He was back to his best self this season, despite playing on arguably the worst defense in the NFL.

Those two votes weren’t enough to get him onto the actual All-Pro team, though.
