Safety T.J. Ward was arrested at his apartment today on a count of failing to appear for previous charges of possession of marijuana and a misdemeanor count of drug paraphernalia, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran was released from jail on posting a $2,500 bond.
The Bucs signed Ward at the end of the preseason last year, after the Denver Broncos released him. The former Pro Bowler had a disappointing season, though, with a few too many busts in coverage. He’s set to hit free agency this offseason, and the Bucs will likely let him walk.
