The 2017 NFL season is over, which means we can start looking forward to 2018. And with the season over, we also know each team’s set of opponents next season—including that of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The slate of opponents, which is determined on a deterministic, rotating basis every season, consists of the three teams in the Bucs’ division, who they face home and away. They also face the NFC East this year, and the two teams in last place in the NFC North and NFC West, as the Bucs finished in last place in their division. Finally, they’ll have to play the AFC North to finish things off.
The Bucs will face current playoff teams eight times next season: the Philadelphia Eagles, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the three NFC South teams, twice each. That’s not too bad, especially given the likelihood of at least one of those NFC South teams declining next season.
