Sam Bradford could miss Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may face a terrible quarterback for the second week in a row. Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford is ‘believed’ to have a bone bruise in his knee, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, which means his participation on Sunday is in doubt.

In fact, according to former NFL physician David Chao, the diagnosis could take Bradford out for weeks, forcing the Vikings to start Case Keenum at quarterback, as they were forced to do yesterday. Keenum, of course, does not resemble a good quarterback in any way.

The Vikings aren’t exactly offense-driven, but no team can survive consistently with quarterbacks like Keenum under center, no matter how good their defense is.

The Bucs defense exposed Mike Glennon yesterday, leading to a dominant, largely defense-driven win over the Chicago Bears. They can do the same thing next game against an even weaker quarterback. Every win counts in the NFL—even those against teams crippled by the absence of key players.
