The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense didn’t get off to a great start against the Cleveland Browns, though they’ve given up only three points so far. Rookie cornerback Ryan Smith has been picked on repeatedly, but the Browns have largely stayed away from targeting Vernon Hargreaves. Maybe this play is why.

That’s a great reflex by Vernon Hargreaves, and underscores that he’s looked much better this preseason than he did last year, when he was inconsistent at best and struggled to get his hands on the ball.
But Lavonte David is the real star of this play. Look at him move to that spot before the ball’s even thrown, and then getting his hands on it, too. That’s the kind of rare play that makes David one of the best in the NFL at his position.
One more note: pay attention to Noah Spence at the top, and Joe Thomas basically just tackling him. Whoops, refs.
