Predicting the Buccaneers’ 2017 53-man roster

The Bucs are a week removed from having to make their final roster cuts.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting close to finalizing their 53-man roster—they’ll have to do that on September 2, to be precise, but they’ve already made most if not all of their roster decisions. An offseason full of practices give the Bucs a lot more information than two more preseason games will.

Which means we can try to predict the Bucs’ 53-man roster with a reasonable amount of accuracy. So let’s go for it!


Quarterback (2): Jameis Winston, Ryan Fitzpatrick

Running back (4): Jacquizz Rodgers, Charles Sims, Jeremy McNichols, Peyton Barber (Doug Martin is suspended and won’t count against the 53-man roster)

Wide receiver (5): Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, Adam Humphries, Chris Godwin, Josh Huff

Tight end (5): O.J. Howard, Cameron Brate, Luke Stocker, Antony Auclair, Alan Cross (fullback)
