Live updates on Buccaneers training camp day two

The Bucs continue to practice in front of the Hard Knocks cameras.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers start day two of their HBO-chronicled training camp today, after a largely uneventful first day. The biggest bit of info to come out yesterday was Jacquies Smith needing another knee procedure, which isn’t great news for his recovery.

The Bucs have been surprisingly healthy other than that, though, which should lead to a pretty heavily contested training camp. The Bucs have several position battles playing out, and they need to get everyone acquainted with the playbook and each other. Most notably, Jameis Winston needs to develop some chemistry with DeSean Jackson, and get better on the deep ball.

The secondary is also pretty interesting, with lots of room for competition at safety, and at cornerback behind/next to Vernon Hargreaves and Brent Grimes. Robert McClain had a good first day there.
