The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did the big offseason charity thing they do every year today: they got a bunch of players and staff together, had their heads shaved, and donated a whole bunch of money to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation in their Cut For A Cure campaign.
The Bucs participated for the fifth consecutive year, and had Chief Operating Officer Brian Ford, Gerald McCoy, Jameis Winston, Mike Evans, Cameron Brate, O.J. Howard, Donovan Smith, Ali Marpet, Will Gholston, and Joe Hawley participating, among others.

“Today is a day that the staff and players look forward to every year,” said Ford. “The opportunity to not only raise much-needed funds, but put a smile on the face of children and their families is just a small gesture and our way of supporting each family with all the hard work of the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.”
The Bucs have now raised over $185,000 through the five years they participated in the program. We don’t often write about the Bucs’ charitable efforts, but this one’s probably their biggest annual effort and it’s worth noting.
In unrelated news, the Bucs released defensive end Deondre Barnett and linebacker Paul Magloire to make room for the two defensive ends they signed yesterday.
