Buccaneers sign three more draft picks to contracts

The Bucs have just two unsigned draft picks left.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed three more of their draft picks. Seventh-rounder Stevie Tu’ikolovatu, third-round linebacker Kendell Beckwith and fifth-round running back Jeremy McNichols all signed four-year contracts this year.

First-round tight end O.J. Howard signed his contract yesterday, leaving second-round safety Justin Evans and third-round receiver Chris Godwin as the only unsigned Bucs’ draft picks.

Rookies all sign mandatory four-year contracts with pre-set signing bonuses and salaries, so there’s not all that much negotation going on here. Which is why the Bucs waited until OTAs to get all their rookies under contract. Draft picks are allowed to play without having signed a contract, anyway.

Still, getting all of their draft picks signed is something that actually does need to get done, and it looks like it will be finished by the end of this week. So then we can stop talking about those contracts and starting looking forward to actual football.
