NFL Draft 2017: Best available players after round three

The draft is getting thinner, but there are still plenty of talented players available.

NFL: Combine Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The second day of the 2017 NFL draft is in the books, and 107 players have been picked across three rounds. That means a lot of talent is gone already, but a few quality players should still be available in the fourth round—or at least, that’s what every NFL team hopes right now.

For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the first three rounds were pretty successful. They got a steal in tight end O.J. Howard in the first round, added a much-needed deep safety in the second round in Justin Evans, and got a nice third receiver in Chris Godwin in the third round. They ended the day on a weird note, trading up to the final pick of the third round to grab a run-stuffing linebacker.

That leaves the Bucs with some needs, though, most notably at running back. They could address that need, but with just a fifth- and a seventh-round pick they don’t have a lot of room to do so. It seems likely the Bucs felt most of the relevant depth in this draft was gone at this point.

We’ll see what happens tomorrow, but here are the best available players for day three.
