The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been talking about adding some kind of indoor practice building/construction/tent/whatever to their facilities for years, and it seems it’s finally coming.
That, at least, is what JoeBucsFan reports, noting that the facility will be ready this year. We’ll see whether that’ll be in time for training camp, though it would be slightly pointless if it wasn’t.
An indoor facility isn’t necessarily a pressing need—only a few practices get rained out every year—but it’d be a nice addition and, frankly, it’s a little baffling the Bucs donm’t already have one. They constructed that nice, state of the art practice facility a little over a decade ago, and somehow neglected to add some way for their team to practice when there’s rain. Which, you know, happens sometimes in Tampa.
So, hey, cool. Indoor practice facility. Now here’s to hoping they won’t use it to keep their practices hidden from the fans in training camp.
