The Carolina Panthers are not for sale.
Yes, I’m as surprised as you are that this was apparently a thing. But hey, here’s Ian Rapoport debunking that notion anyway.
In actuality, a #Panthers limited partner who passed away (as did his wife) is selling a small percentage of the team. It's on the agenda

Most NFL teams have sold percentages to minority owners for whatever reasons. I guess folks like owning NFL teams. I bet they’re pretty good investments, too. It’s not like NFL owners look like they’re lacking in cash. They put up ostentatious statues of themselves outside their own teams’ stadiums, after all.
So yeah, no one’s selling the Carolina Panthers as a whole. It’s still in the same old family, and there aren’t any big changes on the horizon. This is good news for those who really, really want to own a part of an NFL team and have a bunch money to spare, though.
I imagine those folks aren’t likely to be reading Bucs Nation.
