Will the Tampa Bay Buccaneers get one final win and end the season 5-11 instead of 4-12? Or will they secure their top five draft pick with a 4-12 record? I guess there’s something to celebrate and mourn, whatever the outcome is today against the New Orleans Saints.
Meanwhile, the Saints are playing for the division: win and they win the NFC South, lose and they may lose it—if the Carolina Panthers beat the Atlanta Falcons at the same time.
Of course, this is a division game, so it’s also about pride—and quality of play. The Bucs offense has been on a roll recently, while the defense has been a disaster. Some good performances today may save some players’ jobs, and bad performances could see them losing them. Plus, they’ll determine some offseason narrative.
Here’s your first open thread for today’s game.
