On Christmas eve, when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had returned from their game against the Carolina Panthers, DeSean Jackson’s car was found wrecked and abandoned in Tampa, according to a police report obtained by NFL.com. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver is cooperating with police, and claims the car was being used by someone else.

Police found two hollow-point bullets and 6.5 grams of marijuana in the car, which DeSean Jackson’s representation claims isn’t his.

"It was a friend of DeSean's who borrowed his car while he was out of town," Denise White, a representative for Jackson, said. "None of what was in the car was his obviously. He's dealing with the person that was using it without his knowledge privately. The incident is being handled."

General manager Jason Licht issued a statement saying the Bucs were “aware” of the incident, and that Jackson is cooperating with the police.

Jackson was back at practice today after missing Sunday’s game with an ankle injury.
