The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play their final game of the year at 4:25 p.m. ET. The NFL announced that the game between the Bucs and New Orleans Saints had been moved to that time slot. It was originally scheduled to be played at 1:00 p.m. ET.
The Bucs and Saints will face each other next Sunday, on December 31—yes, that’s the last day of the year. You’ll be able to go straight from the game to your New Year’s Eve party.
Next week’s game will be the final opportunity for the Bucs to win a game, and for Dirk Koetter to avoid getting fired. The Bucs are 4-11 and have lost the past five straight games, though every one of those losses has at least been close. Though, throwing away wins in the final minutes of games doesn’t exactly speak for Koetter.
Incidentally, the Saints need a win to clinch the division. Whatever’s the case, we should have a better idea of whether Koetter will return after next Sunday’s game. At 4:25 p.m. ET.
