The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suck, and they’re 4-9 right now. They’ve been eliminated from the playoffs, and the main question remaining is whether Dirk Koetter is going to be the head coach next year.
The other question is where the Bucs will pick in the 2018 NFL draft (they’re slotted eighth overall right now), and who they’ll pick. Dan Kadar has the easy (but probably correct) answer in his latest mock draft for SB Nation: North Carolina State defensive end Bradley Chubb.
This is one of the bigger no-brainer choices in the top 10. The Buccaneers badly need a pass rusher on the edge, and Chubb is considered by many to be one of the draft’s top players.
Easy as pie. The Bucs need a pass-rusher, Chubb is one of the best pass-rushers in the draft, so who else are you going to draft there? No, no one’s going to replace Jameis Winston so Lamar Jackson isn’t going to be the pick, for those few fans who want to do that.
One position the Bucs could look at, given the trouble they’ve had there this year, is offensive line, though there’s no one who’s really worth the eighth overall pick and still available in this mock draft.
