The Detroit Lions will start Matthew Stafford today against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, despite an injured throwing hand. Stafford bruised his hand last Sunday, but it’s apparently healed enough for him to take the field—whether that’s enough for him to productive is another matter entirely, though.
The Buccaneers, meanwhile, are missing four key players with injury: cornerback Vernon Hargreaves, safety T.J. Ward, defensive tackle Clinton McDonald and special teamer Josh Robinson. No new injuries in the group, though, so the Bucs know how to handle this.
The Bucs will get running back Doug Martin and defensive end Robert Ayers back today, though it remains to be seen how much playing time Martin will get.
