The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are starting to collect a lot of significant injuries to players. The latest additions are right tackle Demar Dotson and defensive end Robert Ayers, both of whom sat today’s practice out. It’s not quite clear how serious their injuries are yet, but their absence on Sunday can’t be ruled out.
Those two join a slew of other injured Bucs. Quarterback Jameis Winston is out at least two weeks with a shoulder injury, while left tackle Donovan Smith is recovering from a knee injury that’s likely to keep him out on Sunday, too. Finally, William Gholston was absent today with a neck injury that saw him stabilized and stretchered off the field this weekend—he seems to be stable and the fact that he’s not on injured reserve is a good sign, at least.
In slightly better news, Brent Grimes returned to practice today, albeit in limited fashion. The Bucs could use their star cornerback. They need all the help they can get, to be honest.
