The Buccaneers look lost against the Saints

The Bucs are heading for a fifth straight loss.

NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

Halfway through their second division game, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are down 16-3 to the New Orleans Saints.

As has become tradition, the Bucs have mixed tragedy with comedy: an embarrassing score and incompetent offense, mixed with a blocked punt (by the Saints) and a blocked extra point (by the Bucs).

The Tampa Bay defense looked pretty decent for most of the game, until the two-minute happened and they allowed the Saints to score their first offensive touchdown of the day. On a screen pass.

The Bucs are a bad team, is what I’m saying, and they look like a bad team today, too. No surprise there, just sadness. The Bucs aren’t technically out of this game, as they’re only down two scores and a touchdown would do wonders for them—but it’s hard to see them coming back from this, given how they’re playing today and this season in general.

Oh well. Stick with us, if you want. Here’s your second open thread for today’s game.
