Last week, though, Grimes’ absence didn’t really hurt the Bucs. In fact, the secondary had one of its best games. And that was without Robert McClain, who started the week before opposite Grimes, too. But that was then, against the Carolina Panthers. This week they face Drew Brees and one of the best offenses in the NFL.
Other than Grimes, the Bucs are mostly healthy. Starters Jameis Winston, Robert Ayers, Chris Baker, Adam Humphries and Kendell Beckwith are all listed as questionable, but all of them should play on Sunday. Winston’s virtually certain to play, after throwing throughout the week.
Meanwhile the Saints will be without starting guard Larry Warford, and starting offensive linemen Terron Armstead and Andrus Peat are listed as questionable. The Bucs defensive line might be able to take advantage of that.
