The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may get Jameis Winston back this week. The quarterback will attempt to practice on Wednesday, which, if everything goes well, should set him up for a return to the field on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
Head coach Dirk Koetter said that whether his quarterback would practice fully would depend on any “residual soreness”, which they’ll evaluate today.
Whether that means Winston plays remains to be seen, though. Koetter certainly left that door open, but wouldn’t commit to Winston starting even if he had no soreness. So that’ll depend on whether Winston looks good in practice, and whether the Bucs think he won’t destroy his shoulder if someone lands on it, again.
If Winston can’t go, Ryan Fitzpatrick would get his fourth start of the season. While Fitzpatrick hasn’t been disastrous, he hasn’t been good, either, and the Bucs would much prefer to have WInston out there.
